The aim of this review paper is to concentrate on the use and application photonics in dentistry. More than one hundred research articles were comprehensively analysed terms applications dentistry, including surgical applications, as well dental biomaterials, diagnosis treatments. In biomedical engineering, various fields, such biology, chemistry, material physics, come together tackle a disease/disorder either diagnostic tool or an option for treatment. Engineers believe that biophotonics medicine, whereas simply technology creating connecting packets light energy, known photons. This provides comprehensive discussion its main elements, photoelasticity, interferometry techniques, optical coherence tomography, different types lasers, carbon nanotubes, graphene quantum dots.
